Robin (harpsichord) joins Lisete da Silva Bull (flute and recorders), Henrik Persson (viola da gamba and cello), and Walter Reiter (violin) for another concert in the extraordinary ballroom of the Grand Hotel, Folkestone.
‘A French Offering,’ features music by Telemann, composed for his visit to Paris in 1737 and sonatas for violin and flute by the great Jean-Marie Leclair, who was working in Paris at the same time. We end with one of Bach’s masterpieces, the Trio Sonata from his ‘Musical Offering,’ composed on a theme given to Bach by Frederick the Great in 1747.
